Hurricane Katrina has resulted in a significant reduction of population in metropolitan New Orleans which may limit future business opportunities and which has adversely affected our ability to retain staff and increased our compensation costs. Our Market Area is susceptible to additional hurricanes and tropical storms in the future which could adversely affect the banking business in southern Louisiana. Metropolitan New Orleans may never fully recover from the effects of Hurricane Katrina which could have long-term adverse effects on the banking business in southern Louisiana. There are increased risks involved with commercial real estate and construction lending activities. We may not succeed in our plan to grow which could reduce future profitability. The loss of our President and Chief Executive Officer or Chief Financial Officer could hurt our operations. Our business is geographically concentrated in southern Louisiana, which makes us vulnerable to downturns in the local economy. Changes in interest rates could have a material adverse effect on our operations. Our results of operations are significantly dependent on economic conditions and related uncertainties. Our allowance for losses on loans may not be adequate to cover probable losses. We are subject to extensive regulation which could adversely affect our business and operations. We face strong competition which may adversely affect our profitability. Our ability to successfully compete may be reduced if we are unable to make technological advances.
