Our manufacturing operations are dependent upon third-party suppliers. We could be adversely impacted by environmental laws and regulations. Our operations outside of the United States are subject to political, investment and local business risks. We face significant competition in the markets we serve. Increasing costs for manufactured components, raw materials, transportation, health care and energy prices may adversely affect our profitability. We face heightened legal challenges with respect to intellectual property. Our success depends in part on our development of improved products, and we may fail to meet the needs of customers on a timely or cost-effective basis. The introduction of new and improved products and services could reduce our future sales. Our ability to operate effectively could be impaired if we fail to attract and retain key personnel.
