If we do not continue to minimize our operating expenses, we may not be able to compete effectively in our industry. While we believe that we currently have adequate internal control procedures in place, we are still exposed to potential risks from recent legislation requiring companies to evaluate controls under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. An oversupply of sugar could reduce the price of sugar and our profitability. If we are unable to compete in the sweetener market, our operating results may suffer. Our operations are sensitive to energy prices. Quantity and quality of sugarbeets is sensitive to weather and other factors such as seed varieties. Increased profitability of alternative crops could adversely affect the desirability of growing sugarbeets. Federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations may impact our operations.
